The Diatto boasts  a prestigeous table of over 300 podium postions gained in the most important rallies and circuits, conquering and maintaining leading positions for over twenty years, from 1906 to 1930, with its racing models 4 DC, 20 S, 26 S, 30S, 35 SS and 8C-compressor Grand Prix 2-litre and 40 MM 4-litre.

The best racing drivers of the time Alfieri and Ernesto Maserati, Tazio Nuvolari, marquis Diego De Sterlich,  ex-racing driver Bugatti, count Gastone Brilli Peri, the champion Alfa Romeo, Cesare Schieppati, Emilio Materassi, Guido Meregalli, Giulio Aymini, countess Maria Antonietta Avanzo, Domenico Gamboni, the brothers Franz and Carlo Alberto Conelli and many others, the Diatto, often with its current models, wins many races in competitions:

in France (24 Heurs du Le Mans, the Coppa del Turismo, the race at Limonest for 2 years, the Cup of Cannes), in Germany (the Herkomer Competition);

in England (6 Hours of Brooklands, Essex  Car Club and the Concorso d’Inghilterra), in Russia (Peterbourg-Moscow), in Spain (el Gran Premio del Turismo, el gran Premio de Barcelona for 5 years), in Sweden (the Gran Prix of Sweden), in Switzerland (the Lugano San Gotardo, la Riunione di Ginevra, the kilometre launched at Geneva, the Concorso di Svizzera, the Gran Prix of Europe), in North Africa (the Raid Tunisi-Tripoli);

in Italy (Monza: 24 Ore, Gran Premio d’Autunno, Coppa Internazionale, Coppa dei Re, Coppa Ascari, Gran Premio della Notte) and then Mugello (3 years), Susa-Moncenisio (5 years), Coppa delle colline Pistoiesi (5 years), Coppa delle Tre Venezie (2 years), Circuit at Belfiore, Circuito at Mantua, Criterium at Roma (3 years), Circuit at the Garda Lake (3 years), Gran Premio d’Inverno, Record del Miglio, Milano-San Remo, Circuit at Veneto-Cansiglio, Circuit Principe di Piemonte, Aosta-Gran San Bernardo (5 years), Parma-Poggio of Berceto (5 years), Coppa Monte Nero (3 years), Terni-Passo della Somma (3 years), Coppa Consuma (3 years), Coppa della Sila, Giro di Sicilia, Targa Florio (4 years).

In autumn of 1922, the 1st  Gran Prix  of Italy, “Gara Inaugurale”  on the Monza Motor Racing Track takes place with one Diatto, one Bugatti and one Fiat lined up in the pole positions. To celebrate the 80th anniversary  of the “Gara Inaugurale”, the management of the Motor Racing Track at Monza, in November 2002, reconstructs the same starting line-up as that of the 1st Gran Prix i.e. Diatto, Bugatti, Fiat, which the sporting press brings into relief.
